Oak Small Double Beds

Whether you’re kitting out a guest room or upgrading from a single bed, a 4ft small double is an incremental but important bed size option. They provide enough space for two sleepers to enjoy or for a solo sleeper to sprawl out.

How Big is a Small Double Oak Bed? 

Coming in at slightly smaller than a standard double, a small double oak bed measures 4ft x 6ft 3” (123cm x 190cm). At this size, there’s enough space to comfortably accommodate two sleepers, but small doubles excel the most for solo sleepers. If you find a single is too restrictive, a small double can provide some much-needed width to assist with tossing and turning.

Every bed we sell is made by us at our facility in Leicester. This allows us to ensure that each of our bed frame styles is available across every standard bed size you could want, including a small double.

If you need storage, an oak ottoman bed is the choice for you. However, we also offer oak storage beds with the sole objective to secure more usable space to keep your various essentials in order, without cluttering up the rest of your room.

We don’t just offer oak beds, though. For something a little more modern, we offer white beds, which are the perfect blank canvas. As a more contemporary option, however, you can choose a small double grey bed, or even black.

What Other Sizes of Oak Beds Are Available?

If a small double oak bed is leaving you wanting more (or maybe less), fret not. We offer several other sizes of oak bed to choose from.

Oak single beds: Single beds are narrower than small doubles, making them a great fit for guest rooms or smaller bedrooms. Singles lose an entire foot of width to the small double, but their length is the same.

Oak double beds:  As the next step up from a small double, a standard double oak bed adds 6” of width, while retaining the same length.

Oak king size beds: If you’ve got the space, why not go bigger? You’ll thank yourself while waking up following a comforting night’s sleep filled with freedom of movement. King size oak beds add a further 6” of width and 3” of length.

Oak super king beds: While a king size oak bed is already pretty luxurious, a super king accentuates this even further by adding a foot of width to the king, while retaining the length.
