Our curated collection of bedroom clocks pair perfectly with the timeless joinery of our solid wood beds, bringing a sense of character and sophisticated style to your home.
A structural focal point - A well-placed wall clock provides a vertical anchor for your room’s layout, helping to draw the eye upward and break up many of the horizontal lines within a bedroom design.
Functional style - A clock doesn’t just have to tell the time. Its design can act like a piece of artwork that adds a bit of flair to your home and shows off your personal style.Â
Ticking movement - A traditional ticking clock provides a gentle, rhythmic sound that many find comforting, like a subtle heartbeat. This analog sound helps the space feel more grounded and peaceful.
No glare from glass - One often overlooked detail is whether it has a glass cover. They can catch the light, which makes reading the time that much harder and can feel less modern. That is why all clocks in our collection feature glass free designs.
Iconic British design - As a renowned UK brand, Thomas Kent clocks are celebrated for their personality and craftsmanship, complementing our handmade solid wooden beds perfectly.
Positioning for visibility - The most practical place for a bedroom wall clock is on the wall opposite the foot of the bed. This allows you to check the time comfortably from a reclined position without having to reach for a device.
Scale and proportion - A large wall clock works best when positioned centrally above a chest of drawers or a mantlepiece. Aim for a size that feels substantial enough to command the space without crowding your other accessories.
Complementary tones - Choose a clock face that either mirrors your bed’s finish or provides a deliberate contrast. For example, the muted, soft tones of a Zurich Cuckoo clock look stunning against our darker woods like rich walnut or stains like coffee bean or cinnamon.
Hanging height - For the best visual impact, the centre of your clock should sit roughly at eye level (about 60 inches from the floor). If hanging above a tall wardrobe or high chest of drawers, ensure there is at least 6 inches of breathing room to avoid a cluttered look.
Most Thomas Kent clocks are surprisingly lightweight but should still be hung with care. For standard UK plasterboard walls, we recommend using a wall plug and screw rather than a simple picture nail to ensure the clock remains level and secure.
These clocks use high-quality quartz movements that typically require a single AA battery. For the best longevity, we recommend using a standard alkaline battery rather than a rechargeable one to ensure a consistent voltage.
To maintain the paint’s finish, simply use a dry microfibre cloth to gently remove dust. Avoid using water or chemical cleaners, as these can damage the unique surface textures that make Thomas Kent clocks so distinctive.
Our clocks feature a classic quartz movement with a steady, rhythmic tick. Most people find this sound fades into the background, providing a soothing, traditional atmosphere that is far less disruptive than the sharp alerts of a smartphone.
